Preparation for the Holy Heart

Arroyo Grande was swept by Sacred Heart Prep in Arroyo in the nonleague girls' water polo game. Ashley Penner added two goals and three assists. On Wednesday the Sacred Heart Prep girls' water polo team will play St. Ignatius in a WCAL matchup. SHP defeated Arroyo Grande 7-5 at the St. Francis Invitational.

Bellarmine

In 1928, Bellarmine changed its name to the more contemporary "Bellarmine College Preparatory." Robert Cardinal, a Jesuit from the 16th century, who was also saint was the school's name. The school colors changed from the red and white of Santa Clara to blue and white, the colors of Saint Mary. The school's athletic program is among the top ten sports in California.
Villa Park

Villa Park was originally known as Mountain View in 1860. The Post Office refused mail delivery to the area. In 1880, the town was comparable to Orange and Anaheim and had horses and buggies the norm. Numerous orchards were located mostly of walnuts, grapes, and citrus. It was the birthplace of the first Miss Villa Park, Millicent Strahan.
St. Ignatius
